About | Become StrongHer
In 2012, the sisters of Kappa Phi Lambda at the University of Florida wanted to become a part of a movement that empowers young women to become better versions of themselves. Our goal was to boost collegiate women's self-esteem by growing their confidence, giving them courage, and showing them that the only limits they have are the ones they set for themselves. Between 2012-2015, nearly 400 young women from several universities in North/Central Florida have attended the conference, shared their experiences, made new friends, and created unforgettable memories
The 2016 Become StrongHer: Women's Empowerment Conference theme is TOGETHER
This year, our conference will be particularly groundbreaking because for the first time, we will be opening up this conference to males. By way of professional development workshops, inspirational speakers, and networking opportunities, we aim to educate collegiate men and women about a problem that is prevalent socially, culturally, and even legally-- gender inequality. Both men and women have power to help advocate for gender equality—something that would benefit all genders.
On January 31st, join the us for an exciting new conference that will motivate you to challenge your perspectives and broaden your understanding.
